We are once again going in the New York Hudson Valley to collect musical instruments for the Gulf Coast schools. If anyone out there on the net is reading this and you are from the NY, NJ, CT area feel free to contact me, liberty-street@juno.com if you have a lonesome instrument seating in the closet there are some kids who could use them. Think high school bands but as one of the teachers said,” bring us anything you got, we’re put it to use”.
We will meet you where ever you are and if it’s ok with you we take your photo along with your instrument. We have some cool photos of all kinds of folks, old and young, tall and short with their instrument and gift.
We are ending up at the Guthrie Center, http://www.guthriecenter.org/ on Thursday night the 24th of Sept. for their open mike. So feel free to come out, it is a very nice setting and room and good room for personal music, I always like the kitchen.
So we will be on the ground from about the 18th of Sept. to the 25th of Sept.
Here is hoping all out there had a great summer, it sure went fast.
