(Some have what we brought)
Ok; we plan to leave Roanoke, Va. around 10 AM; only, because of my Gig-mobile breaking down and having to be towed, it ends up being 2 PM before we get started. It seemed to Al and I that fate was telling us “You cannot leave Roanoke for your trip to the Gulf coast.” With all that we had to do just to leave town, Al and I were getting a bit frazzled.
But we had a pile of musical instruments in the rental car, and we were GOING. We have made this run so many times that by now we’re almost on automatic pilot.
We got into Slidell, La. around 4 A.M and fell asleep in the car, not wanting to wake up our host. Around 8A.M, Gordon, who has been running this base camp since Katrina hit the area, wakes up and realizes we’re here. Mona Lisa, his Katrina rescue dog, has had a litter of pups, none of which had barked at us as we came up to the house. Gordon looked at them and growled “These guys come up to the house and none of you guys bark? You’re all fired!” Then he greeted us with a hug and we started catching up on all that’s gone on since we were here last May. And there is much to tell.

Gordon it seems now has a business, www.bioliberty.net and we will be telling more about what he is up to in future blog. As of now Al and I have two schools we want to say hello too and hand out the musical instruments.
